The EPS cement sandwich wall panel is famous for its extremely fast and simple installation process, but following the correct professional procedures is essential to ensure that the finished walls are strong, durable and meet all performance standards. This step-by-step installation guide will help construction teams complete the installation work smoothly, avoiding common mistakes and getting the best possible results from the panels.
Before starting the formal installation work, you need to complete all the preparation steps first. First, measure and mark the exact position of the walls on the floor, ceiling and adjacent structural walls according to the construction drawing. Check that the floor and ceiling surfaces in the installation area are flat, clean and free of loose debris, because uneven base surfaces will affect the stability of the installed panels. Prepare all the required tools and accessories in advance: electric cutting saw, special panel adhesive, connecting steel brackets, screws, rubber sealing strips and a level ruler. It is also very important to inspect all delivered EPS cement sandwich wall panel products before installation, to make sure there are no damages or cracks on the surface boards, and that all panel sizes match the design requirements.
The first formal installation step is to install the top and bottom connection tracks. Fix the U-shaped metal tracks on the marked positions of the floor and ceiling with expansion screws, making sure the tracks are perfectly aligned and straight. Place a rubber sealing strip inside the bottom track first, which will provide cushioning and improve the sound insulation performance between the panel and the floor. Then you can start to install the first EPS cement sandwich wall panel. Apply a proper amount of special adhesive on the side edge of the panel, then lift the panel and insert it into the top and bottom tracks. Use a level ruler to adjust the panel to make sure it is completely vertical, then fix the panel to the side structural wall with steel brackets and screws.
After the first panel is secured, you can continue to install the rest of the panels one by one. Apply adhesive on both side edges of each new panel, then push it tightly against the previously installed panel, making sure there is no gap between the two panels. Wipe away any excess adhesive that squeezes out from the joint immediately with a wet cloth before it dries. After all panels are installed in place, you can add screws through the surface of the panels into the connection tracks at top and bottom to further strengthen the overall structure. The final step is to handle all the panel joints: apply joint filler on all the seams, paste special joint fiber tape, then smooth the surface to make it completely flat. After the adhesive and filler are fully cured (usually 24 hours), the wall is ready for subsequent decoration work like painting or tiling.
